Landscaping with Native Plants

Gailon Hardin, former president of Native Plant Society of Texas, will show how you can have a beautiful and environmentally-responsible home landscape using plants that are native to our local area. The presentation will be  Sunday July 18 at 2 pm at the Gordon library.

Gailon is a retired accountant and is a Master Gardener and a Master Naturalist.  She has developed a sustainable native plant landscape on her 1.4 acre property that requires watering only in times of drought— three to four times a year.  She is such a native plant enthusiast, her three dogs Chilie Pequin, Sumac and Lancelota are all named after Texas native plants.

This presentation is offered to the public free of charge as part of the Gordon Library Sunday Forum Series.
